The munchkin known as Arle returns with a group of opponents once more in a rehash of the original Puyo Puyo game, Puyo Puyo Tsu, and a number of variants (six in all) where translucent blobs fall from the heavens. The aim of the game(s) is simple - color match the bobbing blobs in contiguous quartets and they'll disappear from the screen. Sounds simple enough, but there's a wrinkle - an opponent on the other side of the screen also feverishly performs color matching. If/when it scores a magnificent chain combo, a rain of clear-colored Puyos drop down on your side which hampers any color matching possibilities. Fun and devious despite all the years that have passed, Puyo Puyo retains it's charm, yelping sounds, and addictive qualities. View the back cover and screenshots.
