Update: December 16, 2003 «©NCSX» By ways vertically, horizontally and even diagonally, players of Columns are enjoined to match sparkling jewels in groups of three. Purple, yellow, red, green and other gems fall from the sky in two-piece chunks and one shuffles them around to create color combinations once they hit the ground. Chain combos may be created for mass points and the occasional wonder gem appears which fades every color that it touches from the screen. The Sega Ages 2500 version of Columns uses an Egyptian theme and an exploration theme along with 3-D polygon graphics to recreate the magic of the original. Similar to all other Sega Ages releases on the PS2, notes on the history of the game are included inside the game package for inclusion in your Sega Ages binder (which was given away with Phantasy Star).
