Update: April 28, 2004 With beach weather looming in the horizon, it's only natural that beach volleyball...or any volleyball for that matter, be on the minds of sun seekers the world over. Success helps things along in virtual style by re-releasing Waku Waku Volleyball under the Superlite 2000 series at a nice price. Up to four players may take part in the game where two sides face off with only a dividing net keeping the tribes apart. Four players on each side then bump, block, dig, attack, set, stuff and spike the ball with vengeance. Eight girl teams are represented from around the world at the outset of the game: Brazil, China, Cuba, Italy, .Japan, Netherlands, Russia, USA An additional three teams may be unlocked along with new courts to play on over the course of play. A name editing function gives anyone with a lot of time the ability to customize a team's name. Game modes include World Exhibition, Beach Volleyball and Challenge along with a number of mini-games. When Waku Waku Volleyball 2 was a full priced release, it was a questionable purchase reserved only for the most diehard of virtual volleyball fans. At the new price point, it's a more reasonable indulgence. View the back cover.
