Update: March 23, 2006 «©NCSX» Instead of knocking heads and busting up kidneys with their fists, Kunio-kun and crew play dodgeball to bust up internal organs with a welt-raising spherical missile. The boys have to relieve their overly aggressive tendencies somehow. In most schoolyard dodgeball games, two teams are arrayed against each other and a ball is lobbed and hurtled at players to knock them from the battlefield. Dodgeball-bu basically follows the scheme. The player configuration in Dodgeball-bu is a unique one where a team of seven players compete against another team of 7 players. Four players on a team roam around their side of the court while their other three players are positioned on the periphery of the opposing team's court. By using this player positioning, a team is able to attack the opposing team from all sides When a ball smacks a player that can't or won't catch the ball, energy is taken away until he becomes an angel which flies off to heaven. When only one player on the court remains on a team, the game is over. Teams from 8 nations compete in the dodgeball action which represent 60 players... who all look identical. Every copy of the Oretachi game includes seven items: 01) Dodgeball-bu Game CD 02) Miniature CD which contains background music and sound effects 03) Miniature DVD which contains developer interview and master play 04) A placard which contains playing rules and holds both mini discs 05) Game trading card with cover artwork and original artwork 06) A thin and flimsy official guide book with game hints and tips 07) Booklet which contains PS2 game info and photos of the original JAMMA pcboard from way back in the day.
