Update: May 24, 2006 «©NCSX» A buster gentleman in a white jacket and his new bride are walking away from a church while wedding music blares from the speakers. The couple appears happy but their bliss is interrupted by a vampire who swoops down from the skies and steals her away. To bring her back to resume their matrimonial obligations, the whip-wielding groom steps into dank arenas to battle the minions of darkness before facing off against his oppressor in a vicious climax. In the first stage of Akumajou Dracula, the enemies include flitting bats, stumbling zombies that rise from the earth below, and bone throwing skeletons who fling their projectiles in perfect horizontal trajectory. Additional obstacles include crumbling statues, a wall which breaks down by spitting its component bricks, and wood nymphs that leaps out from the trunks of trees. At the outset, the hero only has a whip to lash out at foes but side weapons are eventually gained such as incendiary bombs. The first level boss is a green serpent-woman who unleashes little snakes who ramble across the ground to attack. Leap over them and lob a few bombs at "medusa" to proceed to the next level...
