In the first game, players adopted the role of a corrupt politician/magistrate who conspired with willing confederates to accept bribes and avoid the arm of justice. Reprising the role of a shifty, corpulent and corrupt magistrate in Western Edo during imperial Japan, gamers play the bad guy and entertain bribes, shifty payments and other elements of corruption. These unsavory actions are noticed by local heroes as well as legendary warriors who will seek to topple your little empire. To stop the righteous ones from arresting your little enterprise, players wotk to fool the law enforcers, trap them and foil them at every turn to keep the grift going... Ninja and ronin may also be hired to halt any heroes from ruining your little cottage industry. When the bribes roll in, the money may be used to hire stronger bodyguards and skilled warriors.

The game is made up of cinematic interludes, interaction sequences and boisterous mini-games which move the action along at a lively clip. One of the mini-games involves squashing a local peasant uprising and another is a concentration card game. Scenarios are set up with a little movie sequence which details the goal and the players involved. Global A boasts the abillity to use up to 80 types of in-game weapons, traps and items to help keep your job as the bad magistrate.
