Konami's latest Battle Ballpark baseball game features realistic television quality graphics and updated 2003 stats for Japanese professional players and teams. New additions to the game include fielder cursors, stamina gauges and fluid defensive plays which allow the nimble player to grab skittering balls and normally out-of-reach line drives. A training mode gives up 'n coming players a chance to practice pitching, defense, batting and even Konami's new "Shock System" which makes for more fluid game where players react immediately after hitting a pitch or when on the hunt for towering pop-ups. The Shock System also allows for balanced control during the game. Konami touts improved AI, comfortable camera angles, running commentary by announcers and accurate recreations of team stadiums.
