While immensely popular in the States and Europe, the Grand Theft Auto series never really caught fire in the Far East. Chalk it up to differing views of fun, cultural mores or simple apathy. Despite the lack of star power, Capcom imports the game from Rockstar and hopes to move perhaps a few thousand units in Japan.
