Nearly a year after the Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne wowed fans and bowed them over with a creation story and the ability to guide the direction of a new world, a "Maniacs" version makes it way to market to impress players once again. Megami Maniacs is essentially the original SMT3 game but updated and enhanced with new map areas to explore, new characters, and new scenario segments. Spelunk labyrinthine dungeons and encounter demon-folk and other monsters with whom to engage, fight or recruit. Then there's Dante of Devil May Cry fame who crosses over from Capcom's camp and lodges himself in an Atlus title. Dante joins the player as a sort of bodyguard or guardian angel of sorts who shadows the player through the game. When Dante joins the party, a dramatic animation shows the demon killer leaping off a building and then landing with extreme force, guns drawn and at the ready. Gamers with demonic save-data from the original SMT3 may use it in Maniacs to continue the game with a familiar stable of helpers. View the back cover.
