Update: February 23, 2004 Similar to the Silent Hill 3 Special Edition where Konami shipped everything separately in cartons, the Special Edition of Pop 'n Music 9 also comes in separate components and not in one bound package. We'll assemble the parts together and ship all preorders this afternoon. The special edition of Pop 'n Music 9 includes a bevy of bonus items as follows:° Pop 'n Music 9 Game DVD ° V-Rare Soundtrack 7 ° Pop 'n Cafe Ceramic Cup and Coaster ° Pop 'n Cafe Carrying Pouch ° Pop 'n Music Can-Badge Collection ° Pop 'n Music Plush Cellphone Strap Update: February 19, 2004 Konami shows Bemani fans a lot of love in the latest home conversion of Pop 'n Music where all of the songs found in the coin-op version of PNM9 are present and joined by 22 new music tracks. Original characters also appear which are exclusive to the PS2 version of PNM9. Game options include a standard arcade mode, a 2-player battle mode, an expert mode for sadists and a number of other tidbits such as a training exercise and an Omake section. Elite players may submit top scores to the Internet Ranking site and view their position and street cred amongst the cream of the Bemani crop. A few months ago, Konami announced a preorder campaign for Beatmania IIDX 7th Style and promptly hit their 10,000 unit preorder numbers. Pop 'n Music games are released without any fanfare and always sell very well. The same goes for any Bemani game, so the high drama involved with the BMIIDX 7th Style production was very odd. Please note that NCS will open up preorders for BMIIDX 7th Style in the next few weeks once we begin finalizing May 2004 releases. View a larger photo of this item.
