In the year 4444 A.D., the world has been turned into a prison wasteland for criminals while the normal citizenry live comfortably on orbiting colonies. From the wreckage of a wracked Earth however, a new order called Neo Contra rises. Ruling by way of chaos and fomenting destruction, Neo Contra catches the attention of the powers that be, who counter with the original player - Bill Rizer, who is revived from cryogenic sleep and sent into battle. Similar to other apocalyptic scenarios, the color of a dystopian future is gunmetal grey. Take control of Bill Rizer or a strange samurai partner and run, gun, and toggle weapons quickly as hordes of enemies are met. A variety of bosses provide a larger measure of resistance than their underlings for . Much of the game takes place from an overhead perspective but some classic side scrolling levels also take place along with head-on views of the action. View the back cover.
