Soccer fans anxious for online play find their anxiety sated with Konami's latest release of the prized Winning Eleven franchise. Once the necessary network setup is completed and an account with Feega is established, players may login and compete against fellow footy lovers, chat, and set up "buddy lists" which alert when a friend or foe is online and ready to play. Based on a single match that we tested this morning (there aren't too many users with the game in Japan yet), lag time is there but our service with Verizon DSL may have contributed to that. Overall, the reaction times and onscreen action are acceptable when playing but we are waiting for some feedback from our Japanese customers who will have the game tomorrow. As an added bonus, international players may use Japanese or English announcer commentary (French, German, Italian, and Spanish is also supported). View the back cover and screenshots.
