WRC4 Recall Announced by Spike
Spike is recalling the World Rally Championship 4 game because of a glitch which occurs as the fourth stage (ironically called "Big Chance") of the game is loading. Once the glitch hits, the game freezes and no further action is allowed. We are participating in the recall and are suspending sales of the game until we receive the fixed version of WRC4 which is expected to be released at the end of June 2005. Sales will resume once the reissue of WRC4 arrives.

Japanese WRC4 pace notes
The pace notes in the game are spoken by someone in a British accent and are entirely in English. To reiterate, the audio pace notes that accompany the onscreen icons which show directions to go are in English and are the same as the ones in the European version of WRC4.

WRC4 is the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship is produced in close collaboration with the WRC. You'll face over 100 stages through 16 countries, across 5 continents including the new events in Mexico, Japan and Sardinia. New official cars such as the Peugeot 307 WRC (exclusive to WRC4) and vehicles drawn from the entire breadth of the WRC family including Super 1600s and Group N4s. All the official teams, drivers, rallies, stages and cars are here, along with all the intense excitement and extreme action that can only come from the official World Rally Championship.

Network Play
For the first time, all the action and excitement of WRC heads online. Up to 16 players can compete on the WRC's toughest stages, each striving to shave a second off their time and become the rally's ultimate driver. You'll be racing against real human opponents as you battle for the podium's top spot. Face off against live Ghost Cars controlled by other speed-hungry players or download the best Ghost Cars to train yourself so you become the WRC champion. Seek out the ultimate challengers in the Public Lobby on Central Station where you can meet other WRC pros keen to chat and race. Alternatively, head over to the race lobby where you can meet and discuss individual stages, swap driving tips or just boast about shaving a quarter second off your lap time.

Games Modes
New for WRC4 is the Pro Driver Challenge. Experience the highs and lows of a career in WRC as you race through the key events in a driver's journey to the top. Another exciting addition to WRC4 is the Super Special mode. This unique rally event pits you against another rally car in a two-lane rally across the Super Special stages from each WRC rally. This is head-to-head racing at its most extreme.
