A new hero known as Nowe takes to the skies on a dragon named Legna to battle murderous forces. Battles take place on the ground in hacking action and in the air where the dragon serves as the destructive vehicle of choice. When airborne, Nowe may guide Legna in aerial combat as well as strafing runs where ground-based grunts are targeted for elimination. Fellow warriors in the game may be selected on the fly by going to a character selection screen and choosing the hero/heroine. Playable characters include Eris who attacks with a long-range spear and Urick who slices with a curved scimitar-like weapon. Ground battles are fought in full 3D motion where standard slashes may be combined with local area blasts which level entire crowds of foes. A life meter above every enemy keeps track of their vitality. In the air, dragon battles are reminiscent of Panzer Dragoon where Legna shoots off balls of fire at targets along with streams of guided missiles that explode outwards.
