Update: July 27, 2005 Sometime in the year 20XX, teams of racing elite rivals issue new challenges and proponents of racing culture answer the call. Highway racing battles take place over 20 authentic courses from Hokkaido to Gunma prefecture in the Kanto region. All four seasons are represented in the game as well for new conditions which affect the appearance of the track environments. For example, during spring the trees will be filled with blossoms but when autumn arrives, the auburn and rust colored leaves replace the greenery of summer. Races may also take place during the day or at night for additional variety. As is the case with other Kaifo Battle racing games, drifting finesse is on display where drivers conquer hairpin turns by swerving their vehicles perpendicular to the turn... before the vehicle enters the curve so that the car is already moving into the curve in the proper flowing motion. Throttle into curving roads with wild abandon and twist the vehicle into the corners so that the car is suddenly sideways and churning into the turn with squealing acceleration. When the curve levels out, wheel the car back to temporary forward thrust and prepare for the next curve. Chain those curves and sideways motion together in continuous flow and you're drifting, screeching and burning mass rubber. Tracks in the game include: Hakone Kirigamine - Length 2.63km Height 76m Otarumi - Length 1.32km Height 51m Yokohama - Length 1.09km Height 1m Yuki no Otani - Length 2.33km Height 121m Happo Ga Hara - Length 1.99 km Height -12m An overview of the track is presented on the upper left corner of the screen and it rotates and shifts as the car progresses into the track. Spirit points are metered on the top of the screen and the mph gauge is shown on the lower right corner. Stats: Over 200 car models to drift upon and over 20 courses to race upon. Over 400 rivals are also available in the game with their seemingly individual driving styles. Compatible with the GT-Force Pro for drift friendly physics. View the back cover and screenshots.
