Taking place roughly a decade after the first Onimusha game, Oda Nobunaga returns once again in a bid to unite Japan's fractured feudal society. Razing any opposition, Oda wreaks havoc on one too many villages in merciless fashion. From this destruction sprouts vengeance in the form of Yagyuu Jubei, master of the Yagyuu Shinkage sword fighting style. Lean, gaunt, and a willing killing machine, Jubei takes up the sword and travels through hauntingly beautiful scenery to exact his revenge. Along the way, he'll meet an assortment of comrades who'll journey along with him and in this way, grant the player control of their actions.
