Update: October 12, 2006 «©NCSX» Idea Factory compiles a collection of Spectral Force / Neverland games from the original Playstation to the environs of the Playstation 2. The five games collected are as follows:» Spectral Force 2 » Spectral Force: Itoshiki Jaaku (Lovely Wickedness) » Spectral Force: Seishoujo Gaisen » Spectral Blade » Suna no Embrace: Eden no Sato no Never The Spectral Force games are all strategy-rpgs where players marshal military forces led by colorful generals against opposing forces. All of the games included in Reportage were released between 1998 and 2000 for the Japanese Playstation. In addition to the five games, a Neverland Encyclopedia is included which references the background story of the Neverland world and its inhabitants. A character illustration gallery and a collection of game cinemas are also tucked in the Encyclopedia for perusal. View the back cover and screenshots on the main NCSX website. Jan Code: 4995857060962 NCS Game Notes » In the intro to the game, the strum of a guitar may be heard as dark clouds gather in the distance. A map of Neverland appears with the territories clearly demarcated. Characters from various Spectral games fade in and out in quick succession while a grid shadows everything. The Neverland map appears again with surface features drawn out followed by quick-cut cinemas in windows which play concurrently as lightning blazes in the background. An isometric map of Neverland appears followed by images of the main characters from the five Spectral Force games - A Special Thanks goes out to Milestone in the midst of it... The title screen appears shortly afterwards with an open book behind the Reportage logo. » Spectral Force games in the compilation were all released between 1998 and 2000. » Upon pressing START on the title screen, players may opt to go into the game compilation or visit the Neverland Museum crammed with Spectral Force artwork, background data, and cinemas. » In the database section, the text shimmers something fierce due to the higher interlace and the cramming of text in a window alongside character portraits. Sections in the database: 1) Main character profiles and biographies 2) Creatures of Neverland 3) Enemy general/leader portraits and profiles 4) Key events in the chronology of the Neverland story 5) Neverland map and information on important areas 6) Pieces of artwork (27 total) and all five introductory cinemas and animation sequences from the original Playstation games. Since the videos are transferred from the Playstation originals and are not running natively, they're a little rough looking with visible artifacts and aliasing but acceptable. » If you select the game compilation, you'll be able to page through five pieces of artwork which represent the five Spectral games.
