Whilst you won't learn any architectural or drafting skills with Victor's new home design software, you will gain a healthy respect for what creating a beautiful home entails. In addition to creating and partitioning the rooms inside a house, you'll arrange interiors and fill them with pieces of furniture and requisite trappings. Televisions, washers, clocks, and other accoutrements may be dropped inside your virtual home to add flavor and flair. Colors may be splashed on certain rooms - for example, black walls for your goth daughter and baby blue for the toddler - in order to create atmosphere. Once your home is created and fully furnished, you may take a virtual tour inside and view what your design skills (or lack thereof) have wrought. A simulation mode gives you a budget to build a home and furnish it at or below the allocated cost. An interesting tangent is the creation of a garden to mirror your tastes or the theme of your home. While the program won't evaluate your feng-shui design smarts, it's a helpful visual tool to place water features or winding paths to determine how they look in a particular setting.
