«©NCSX» When a massive army of mechanical soldiers invade an empire and decimate the population, it's up to two armored ladies (defensive volunteers, no less) to leap into action and beat back the aggressors. The entire national guard couldn't fend off the invaders but two young and obviously powerful girls will apparently conquer the enemy... Using punches, kicks, and latent sex appeal, the gals do their best to combat a wide range of robots including a model that looks like the Iron Giant. As items are collected and the gals level up, their fighting skills improve and combo attacks are learned for bombastic effect. A 2-player mode allows for cooperative tag-team action against the killer robots.

NCS Game Notes
* In the intro to the Senko, a harried announcer spells out the dire situation as invaders arrive for blood. A view of the epicenter of the attack location and images of robots mobilizing and wreaking havoc are depicted. Then the two saviours are shown in their matching body suits and helmets.

* In the first level, the action starts off on top of a moving train as our heroines flex and get ready for battle. Axe-wielding robots soon engage the gals. The robots aren't particularly aggressive but they will axe the girls if they get close enough. The fighting action is a bit of 2.5D action where punches and kicks are thrown out from side to side as well as top to bottom. When the robots are defeated, they scream like men. Notice that the concussive blasts from each punch and kick will hit a robot a fair distance away. Now, that's power. It's possible to punch 'n pop the heads off of robots but they'll still function and attack normally. As the robots are punched and kicked, keep an eye on the top of the train which will become splattered with the grease and oil from their damaged parts.

* Later on in the first level, robots armed with shields arrive who are impervious to the first two punches or kicks. Upon the third blow, the shield flies away and the robot is cannon fodder. Still later in the level, robots with silver machine guns enter the fray but they hardly ever fire the gun. Only when we stood directly in front of one of them, virtually mocking it, did it fire off a slow moving blast of yellow laser fire.

* The end level bosses for the first level are a bunch of insect-like robots who carry huge swords. They're exceedingly incompetent however and it's disappointingly easy to defeat them. Expect to spend about 20 minutes on the first level alone due to the amount of robots to fight.

* The gals may call upon special attacks which attack any robot that is within the radius of the blast. The girls also have a jumping kick (press X and then TRIANGLE) which imparts damage to an entire row of robots that are standing in the path of the blow. Once airborne, it's possible to perform multiple kicks as wonder woman descends.

* In the second level, the battle takes place on snowy city streets with flakes still falling from the sky. Another surfeit of robots confront the gals. The lily white snow on the ground is soon dirty with splotches of black robot oil.

Nemmo (9): Non Stop Action!
Robots have taken over the world. Humans retaliate, fighting for what little hope they have left. But you know...if the military cant stop a world invading army of robots, two girls with no weapons can! Enter The Senko! Many games have gone back to the formula of 2D side scrolling games, this one adds a slight twist to the mix though. First off, the Senko is suido 2D side scrolling, as in you can run to a foreground and background (and anything in between). Final Fight is a noteworthy game slightly like this, enemies come at you, the screen freezes and you must beat them all up to progress to another screen. The difference that makes the Senko so fun is that it manages to take2D fighter controls and put it in a style of 2D scroller. The two girls can do uppercuts, chain combos, and can even do bycicle kicks, cycling in combos using triangle, square and circle, along with X to do more air combos (YOU CAN JUGGLE ENEMIES FOREVER!!!) In order to use circle as an attack, you have to make sure your arm is...um... reloaded. Yes, thats what I said, RELOADED. The girls have magnum compressed hands, and using them costs ammo. To reload, you press R2. Pressing R3 will open the Earth and send out a blast that basically anihilates the whole screen... but costs a sliver of health to use. One problem I have with the fighting, however, is the fact that you can lose the enemy. Not "lose to" the enemy, you just flat out cant find him! If the enemy get stoo close to the screen, he disappears, which gets a little hassle some when trying to progress through a level. In other news, graphics are pretty! The first level takes place on top of a train, and all the buildings in the background look really awesome as the go by in the background. All in all, looking for a fun 2 PLAYER co op game that involves beating the living crap out of all opposition... The Senko is for you! Good The Senko has awesome fighting! Really fun to chain combos. Bad You can hit each other, it doesnt hurt the other player, but it will stall them, which could get annoying. And losing the enemy gets hassle some. Ditto CONSTANT JUGGLING!
