Update: June 24, 2004
The crew from Xenosaga I - Shion, KOS-MOS, Junior, Chaos, etc return in the sequel which takes place immediately after the events of Xenosaga I. While we won't spoil anything based on our playthrough this morning (under threats of bodily injury), the cinemas in the game are very impressive to view and the character models appear to animate much more smoothly over the original. NCS ships the regular edition of Xenosaga II today and some early preorders will receive a bonus DVD which contains close to 4 hours of game footage and cinemas. Sadly, we did not receive enough to give one to everyone who preordered but it's a very nice DVD and we'll look into posting up some of the cinemas on a server somewhere.
