«©NCSX» The Kingdoms of Raz and Velia are at war and the latter kingdom forms the Berwick Alliance of nations to combat the larger and more powerful force. Players take on the role of Ries, a nobleman from the Chinon Dukedom who leads a group of Knights on the side of the Berwicks. Along with the Chinon Knights by his side, Ries may also recruit mercenaries along the way which enhances the attack capabilities of Ries' merry group. Being mercenaries, they need to be paid to stay on board. Battles are fought on hexagonal grids and viewed from a side perspective where both fighters may perform attacks and actions during each turn instead of alternately taking turns. The Limited Edition of Berwick Saga includes the following bonus items:
