NCS Synopsis: The frog warriors spawned from the mind of Yoshigiki Mine return for an encore performance of last year's Keroro Gunsou Smash Bros clone. Keroro Gunso (translation: Sergeant Frog), leader of the Space Invasion Forces Special Advance Team of the 58th Planet of the Gamma Storm Cloud System goes on a reconnaissance mission to Earth in order to learn more about the blue orb before an invasion proper commences. Unfortunately for him, he is caught by two members of the Hinata household. Despite some early strife, Keroro and siblings Fuyuki and Natsumi Hinata become friends... or in the case of Natsumi and Keroro, master and servant.

The PS2 Keroro game plays like a Smash Bros of sorts where characters such as Keroro, Angoru Moa, Giroro Gochou, the Hinatas, and others complete in battle games, button mashing challenges, and other simple exercises that won't tax cognitive skills. Little humorous references to Gundam and other manga/anime properties pepper the mini-games. New stages, updated gimmicks, and gameplay systems are apparent in the new Keroro Gunsou. Up to four players may play at once during the war games.

NCS Game Notes™
* At the outset, players may choose from 15 characters including the five frogs and the human cast from the manga/animation. Keroro inside a humanoid frog costume is also selectable as a playable character.

* During the loading screens, Keroro wears a bullfrog disguise and ribbits. In another sequence, he dances between the Earth.

* The action takes place on isometric playfields with objects scattered everywhere which may be picked up and used. For example, mallets, bazookas, and Uzi machine guns may be gathered up by pressing "SQUARE" and used by pressing "O". Guns that run out of ammo may be thrown with the "SQUARE" button to serve as a projectile weapon. There's also a Gundam body-length shield that may be picked up as a defensive measure.

* Objects aren't the only things that may be picked up. Opponents may also be picked up and thrown like they were Sunday leftovers.

* Each battle only lasts for 1 round which makes for quick bouts. At the end of each round, scores are tallied.
