«©NCSX» Yusuke Urameshi, Detective of the Spirit World, faces off against friends and foes in a cel-shaded fighting game which brims with cinematic cut scenes and intermissions. Standard attacks, a block move, and combinations are part of every fighter's repertoire along with a series of special attacks and emotion attacks. Desperation moves are also possible in jams. Game modes include Story Mode which may be played from Yusuke, Kurama, or Hiei's perspective and a Versus Mode with one-on-one or five-on-five team competitions. A third option in VS Mode is a 4-player tournament which features a total of 8 fighters. In addition to the three characters mentioned above, the other fighters that appear in the game are Kazuma Kuwabara, Genkai, Jorge Saotome, Chu, Jin, Shishiwakamaru, Karasu, Bui, Toguro-Ani, Toguro-Ototo, Shinobu Sensui, Shura, Yomi, Shigure, Mukuro, Enki, and Raizen. For rusty players who need a little honing, a Tutorial Mode and a Practice Mode offer a chance to practice.
