Ultraman and campy incarnations such as Ultra Seven, Ultraman Taroh, and Ultraman Jack do battle in a 3-D monster fighting game featuring creatures from Japanese cinema. Formidable foes include the arch-enemy of the Ultramen - Baltan-seijin and others such as Red King, King Joe and Dada. The game uses motion-captured animation which aids in realistic movement but from what we've seen this morning, downgrades the fluidity of the action somewhat. Battles take place near the United Nations conference, Kobe Harbor and even outside Osaka castle with interactive backgrounds and breakable buildings which crumble as the weight of gargantuans crash into them. Fancy finishing moves allow a superhero to end a battle with style. View the back cover.
