Atlus' USA reproduction of Disgaea is now in stock and all preorders are shipping today. The game packaging looks exactly like the original release and there's no obtrusive "Greatest Hits" or other markings to designate the game as the second printing. Tracking numbers will be updated after 6PM EST today and are normally activated after 8PM EST.

you have put on your website under the reissue of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness "The game packaging looks exactly like the original release and there's no obtrusive 'Greatest Hits' or other markings to designate the game as the second printing." This is slightly incorrect. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has since 2005 stopped using official holographic seals for Playstation 2 games under the United States/Canada (u/c) designation. Hence, even without a "Greatest Hits" red marking, the lack of a seal helps to identify Disgaea: Hour of Darkness as a reprint. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was a game released in 2002, 3 years before SCEA decided to change production policy with regards to their usage of official seals. Regards,

Atlus has announced a delay for the USA reproduction of Disgaea which was originally scheduled to ship this week. Please note that the new ship date is now early December 2006. Apologies to everyone who submitted preorders in the past couple of weeks but we have no control over the production schedule and changes from Atlus. Thanks for your attention.
NCS Game Synopsis
Borne from the fiery loins of the devil, the main character of Makai Senki Disgaea is literally a lil' devil. When old Beezlebub croaks, the path of ascension is unclear and Satan's spawn Laharl must prove himself by taking on all rivals and pretenders to the throne. Designed similarly to games such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, and Hoshigami, characters battle in 3-D isometric tactical theaters. Conventional weaponry as well as magical spells may be used in the course of war and two comrades watch your back - a wispy devil girl named Etna (complete with forked tail) and a demon penguin named Plinian (aka Prinny) join your party at the outset of the game.
