Battlefield 2: Modern Combat brings the intensity of Battlefield 1942 into the modern era with the latest vehicles and weapons systems available. In this first-person shooter, you'll choose to fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, China, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. Armed with advanced weaponry, you can take control of any of the game's vehicles to engage in major conflicts with up to 24 players online. Battlefield: Modern Combat features expansive environments--from city streets to remote jungles--all around the world.

* Intro to the game checks out weapons of war such as tanks and helicopters as they roll into battle followed by infantry. The assault apears to be on an installation somewhere in the Middle East. Parachuters join the action along with dune buggies.

* The first mission takes place on a snowy square - news network is Neo-Con - Russian satellites rebel and Kazakstan is the focus. Fearful the Chinese incursion may take place as the conflict in Kazakstan escalates. Chinese are hostile. Almaty Region in Southern Kazakhstan and a helicopter thunders into position while grunts into leap to the ground with parachutes. Rapid assault, neutralize hostiles, prep area for helictoper extraction.

* When the game begins, players are drifting to the ground on a parachute. Move the gun sight with the R-analog pad, press R1 to fire weapons, and "O" to reload. The action is chaotic with enemy jeeps making strafing runs and your co-commandoes bellowing out communications to each other. The objective is to destroy two tanks that are firing at the team. A few cars provide some shelter and cover while the snowfall, haze, and limited visibility add to the chaos.
