* The intro to the game shows tanks in motion, bombers, and infantry doing their thing amidst the fever of war. Since the action moves so fast and appears lifelike, casual observers may mistake the animations for old time war footage. * Upon starting the game, your onscreen lieutenant is in the thick of things and is ordered to take a bridge. As you're running to the target, fellow soldiers will just fall down and die as they're shot by enemy soldiers. As you round a bend, three soldiers will die all at once and crumple to the floor. Enemy planes and tanks will move in and decimate your forces for a brutal taste of virtual war. * Once you've gotten down the hill, you'll follow three of your fellow soldiers into a bombed out structure where your new objectives are to "Get to defensive position." Climb up the stairs and hunker down next to fellow soldiers and blast away at German troops who are firing back with everything they've got. * The reverb of the bombs, the non-stop fire, the grim bombed-out buildings, and the shouts from your fellow soldiers all conspire to create an intense hysteria which may very well be what the battlefield was like during WWII. Bombs will shake buildings, throw up earth and water, and heavy fire comes from all sides. Pretty much every building is also aflame and smoking which contributes to the darkened sky and feeling of intense dread. * When killed, your soldier just drops dead and the camera plops sideways for a view askew of your soldier's last sight.
