* Upon starting the game, you're prompted to choose your brand from Ford or Chevy. The first scene focuses in on a house where two old country boys are squawking to each other about which brand is better - Ford or Chevy. They're talking about the televised Westington Cup and when they're interrupted by their grandchildren, they invite the kids to watch the television program with them. The two old coots talk all over the show about the classic rivalry. * Before the race begins, go into the garage and choose a vehicle from a selection of cars. Since we chose the Ford brand, the cars available include: 2005 Thunderbird / 2005 Mustang GT Coupe / 2000 Force SVT Cobra R / 2004 Focus RSB with Cammer 5.01 / 2005 Ford GT. At the outset, we only had 12500 points to purchase a vehicle and the only ones in our price range were the 2005 Thunderbird (10000 points) and the Mustang GT Coupe (12450 points). We chose the Thunderbird and painted it black. * In the Westington Cup Modern Muscle stages, the objective is to race 2 teammates and 3 rival drivers in a circuit event or a permutation of that. The lead racer wins gold while the next two finishers grab silver and bronze. * During a race, two commentators will utter remarks about your performance and make observations about your driving style. If you're dead last, expect to hear it. If you lead, the two will compliment your skills but if you're too aggressive, they'll call you out on that also. * The control in Ford vs Chevy is what we would describe as "slippery." The car slides across the road like a boat. There's a booster (R1 trigger) for the car which jets it into overdrive until the boost meter runs down.
