Capcom bundles Street Fighter II (Upgraded Anniversary version as released on the PS2 a few months ago) and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike in a region-free, Xbox Live compatible release which may be played on USA and Japanese consoles alike. We didn't believe the W-coding news until we tested the game this morning for ourselves. There is no indication on the back of the game package that the disc is region-free and there's still an NTSC/J designation on there but it works. Capcom showing love to fans. We tried a match this morning despite the small amount of players online. We experienced server lag when fighting against an Asian/Japan player but once more USA players go online, we expect match performance to improve.
