Update: July 27, 2006 From the publisher Drive a train and travel between Kyoto and Kobe! In Japan, the Toukaidou Line officially means the rail route connecting Tokyo to Kobe. But this time, the routes known affectionately as the JR Kyoto Line and JR Kobe Line combine to form the route between Kyoto to Osaka. The route spans 75.9 km, with 28 stations in all. Besides New Express, Express and Normal trains being available for selection. NCS Game Notes » In the intro to the game, live footage of Tokaido Line trains motoring on tracks is shown. Assorted series of trains are shown including the Series 201, Series 223, and the Seres 681-683. There's also footage of suited salarymen boarding the train and the conductor as he signals for the okay to leave the station. » Upon pressing START, the top menu appears with the following selections: ● Driver's Work ● Conductor's Work ● Driver's Room ● Business card exchange ● Museum ● Option » The Museum features four videos of trains in action including the introduction cinema which is available for viewing. The other three videos must be unlocked. The other Museum feature is a Train Introduction gallery where photos of 16 types of trains may be viewed. A 3D modeler may also be entered by pressing the "SQUARE" button where the selected train is checked out from all angles. Press the L and R trigger to focus in and out and move the analog nub to rotate the train 360˚ for a thorough inspection. » Before each train driving session, the route is shown on a map along with the time, weather and previous high score if applicable. » To release the brake, press the "X" button and then push down on the d-pad to start accelerating to the next station. A speed gauge keeps track of km/h and it's advisable to keep the rate of speed within the recommended guidelines. The Arrival Time and Current Time are shown on the upper right corner and one must stay on schedule to keep the riders and the bosses happy.
