Update: March 9, 2006 «©NCSX» The premise of Intelligent Qube is a simple one - a lone human figure runs around a 3D playfield while destroying waves of blocks by setting up bombs. As a block reaches the bomb, trigger the explosive with a single button-press to destroy it. The blocks that move down the playfield will crush the human if he doesn't act quickly enough to bomb them. Perform well and the playfields get tougher and the blocks mow downwards ever faster. The game also ranks your I.Q. based on how quickly and how successfully you're able to navigate through the levels. The PSP edition of I.Q. is based on I.Q. Final (PS1) and contains 7000+ stages culled from the three I.Q. games from the original Playstation and PS2. The main game mode is I.Q. Mania where players contend with stages that gradually ramp up in difficulty. Additionally, a Survival Mode and a 100 Challenge 100 Attack Mode provide new and angst-ridden ways of playing the game. Gamers who strive for the perfect score or the perfect way to finish a stage will want to play the latter mode. Finally, the multi-player mode allows up to 5 competitors to link up for a block smashing party with a single copy of the game. After conquering the proper I.Q. game, the I.Q. Mania UMD also contains 15 mini-games that may be unlocked by downloading tickets from the Sony website. Mini-games include Mahjong and Colobowl which may be played in a 3-player split-screen Survival Mode (Ad Hoc). The I.Q. Mania software also includes playable previews of Max Games: Bomberman and XI Colosseum. This item is also known as Max Games: I.Q. Mania.
