«©NCSX» A bare-chested ruffian named Rou and a willowy waif who answers to Shunka provide the muscle and magic to prevent a catastrophe. Every few hundred years, the Seima Gate in the land of Seima serves as a harbinger of disasters to come. It's that time again when it gradually turns crimson and foretells calamity. At the outset of the game, Rou and Shunka are being judged in an arena but the two foil their captors and escape into the wilds of Seima. Despite their fugitive status, the two nevertheless resolve to join together and prevent another disaster.

Game play is fast and fluid. Players may toggle between Rou and Shunka on the fly and attack with quick combo-friendly strokes and stabs. Each fighter has particular skills at the outset but more techniques may be learned as the game progresses. Save points dotted around the terrain serve as inconvenient way to save progress. We'd much prefer a press "START" and save option but no such luck. As new characters are met during the adventure, new comrades may be recruited into your ranks who bring their own special attacks and magic blasts. The action is now mission-based with the successful completion of early quests unlocking new ones. The game boasts 200 types of moves that may be used and over 100 missions are featured which gradually reveal the story. New missions may be downloaded to PC and then transferred to the PSP via wireless LAN. A 2P ad hoc versus mode is also available for two fighters to duke it out.

From the Publisher
The story takes place far west of the “Ouka Continent”, the stage for “Tenchi No Mon”, the “Seima Continent”.

On this vast land, existed a giant “Mon” (gate) that seemingly pierced the sky and stood proudly on the land. The top was hidden in the swirling clouds that always stayed in the sky around the gate, while the bottom was somewhere in the horizon.

It was so big that its features could be seen clearly from anywhere in the continent, and it seemed like a white silvery pillar piercing through the earth and the sky from far. This “Mon” was respectfully and fearfully called “Seima Mon”, and was seen as the symbol of the Seima god.

Combat system with two-person-team
The player has to frequently switch between the two main characters to make them work like a team. The male main character “Rou” can wield carefree and alluring swordplay, spear skills and taijustsu (bare fists and feet), while the female lead “Shunka” can release colourful and elaborate magic (spiritual power) to move the earth. And one can switch between the characters at any time according to the battle situation, emphasising the tightness and seamlessness of the battles and the strategic interlink of attack and defence.

More thrilling and flexible Bugei Scrolls (combination moves) element
Known for its fast and variable swordplay combinations, and fascinating and forceful display of skills, the Bugei Scrolls (combination moves) element has evolved richly, allowing the various combinations of the more than 200 moves included in the game to conduct exciting continuous attacks. The character actions that were modelled after the moves of martial arts exponents, and the even more realistic and brilliant graphical effects, will definitely make playing the game a very entertaining experience.

Multi-angled plot with complicated developments and tons to explore
In order to fulfill the desire to find more new features and play in new ways, the mission mode gameplay style is added this time to enrich and deepen the contents. In between weaving through the many climaxes of the main storyline, one could still be chivalrous and save the girl who was suffering from sickness; or one can look all over to find and collect rare currencies, experiencing different but equally rich feelings.
