Description
From the back of the game manual:
The Dark Tower has lost its monarch and been in chaos. Now, a single soul has been resurrected from the depth of oblivion. It is Jedah, one of the three ancient Lords of the Dark World.

He creates a closed battle stage called the "Dark Dimension" and summons worthy spirits to declare:

"All souls, dead and living, shall merge into me! That is the only hope for ultimate salvation!"

The saga of the Darkstalkers begins anew as they fight for their very survival. Time is running out... And there is no second chance.

From the pen of NCS:
Ten fighters such as Morrigan, Demitri, Felicia, and the usual suspects bout it out in fast 2-D fighting action. Three game modes are available: Arcade, Tower, and Versus. In Tower mode, player select three fighters and then proceed to battle one-on-one against a number of combatants through a mountain side (tower). Choose the fighter before each bout and it's a one-match battle with each new opponent. Successful matches will unlock illustrations which may be viewed in the Gallery of the game.

If a fellow PSP fighter with the Vampire Chronicle game is in close proximity, a network bout may be started.

Capcom's patented Q-Sound technology is used in the PSP version of the game for vibrant aurals. Other options in the game include an Illustration gallery, BGM select, and a Movie menu where the endings for the various fighters may be viewed once you've completed the game with the particular fighter.

Paul M. (4): Good control but no graphic update
I'm a big Vampire fan and I have every home version of the game including the Playstation Vampire Saviour. This game is based on the Dreamcast Vampire Chronicle where you can mix and match play styles from Vampire Hunter, Vampire Saviour, etc. The control is responsive but because of the handheld D-pad, it is a little clumsy to do special moves. I was disappointed that there were not graphics upgrades and would have liked some more game modes.
D. Butler (6): 2D Fighter Fun
I was never a big fan of 2D fighters but something about playing it on the PSP makes it fun. Maybe its the novelty of it all. Anyway, game is 99% English and extremely import friendly. Graphics are good. Recomended for any 2D fighter fan.
