The heads of colorful Bombermen are inexplicably falling from the heavens in groups of three. As they descend, shuffle each trio around and arrange like-colored Bomber-heads in contiguous clumps of at least three to wipe them from the screen. While that part of the game is fairly simple, the trick to beating opponents is setting up bomb blasting chain combos which causes a brick wall to rise up on your foe(s). With the wall pushing their groups of bombs on the ground and Bomberman heads upwards, they'll soon falter to rapid fire combo creation when their space to operate turns into a sliver. Of course, walls are rising on your side as well when opponents perform their own bomb combos. To stop the rising brick tide, create bomb triggers by landing a red bomb on top of any normal black bomb and every bomb within its blasting radius will blow up, taking any brick walls that are touching away as well. Although the bombs blow themselves up, they don't affect the Bomberman heads. However, every once in a while, a huge bomb descends which blows out chunks of Bomberman heads and bombs to boot. The PSP version of Panic Bomber includes a standard mode where the player faces off against five PSP controlled Bombers (five levels each), a Score Attack mode, a Challenge Attack with 50 mini-games, and a Versus mode where up to 4-players may link up wirelessly for local area tourneys. Only 1 player needs to own the game for wi-fi linking and quick competitions against fellow PSP owners. View the back cover and screenshots.
