«©NCSX» Towards the end of the Muromachi Era (1336-1573) of Japan's history, the Ashikaga Shogunate suffered from the effects of civil war. The Onin War which spanned from 1467-1477 took its toll on the Shogunate. Were it not for the Asuka ninja clan, the Ashikaga would have fallen sooner against the power of Oda Nobunaga. To speed things up, an all-out assault is launched against the Asuka Ninja Village, killing most of its members which paved the way for the destruction of the Ashikaga and the ascension of Nobunaga.

Gou the Crow has slashed his way through two PS2 games and the assassin suffering from amnesia answers the call to arms for one more time. As the last of the Asuka clan, Gou the Crow goes on missions and quests to take his vengeance against his foes. At the outset of Shinobido Homura, a new mission is offered to Gou but little does he know that the adventure entails more than meets the eye. A total of 80 new missions await the stealthy ninja which involve infiltration, assassination, kidnapping, sabotage, and utter destruction of a target. When Gou attacks an enemy, the blood runs ruddy and sprays like miniature geysers from hacked open bodies. Gou can also scale walls and run across rooftops to evade attackers. The PSP version of the game features a Mission Editor Mode which allows for data transfer from PS2 Shinobido Imashime and Shinobido Takumi so that custom-created PS2 missions are playable on the PSP.

From the publisher
Legendary destiny of Shinobido gets into heat of action once again…

In the ending years of the Muromachi Bakufu, the Ashikaga shogunate almost fell because of the turmoils. It was a time of war. But the “Ukota” region was protected from this wave of war by the protection of the “Asuka ninjas”. The good times did not last though with the Asuka ninja village almost totally destroyed in an attack. As an Asuka ninja, Gou took on many missions with the aim to exact vengeance, and finally he defeated his arch enemy and took revenge for his compatriots. After that, Gou accepted a new mission. At first, he thought it was just a simple seize mission, but the gears of destiny started to turn again…

Even broader Shinobido world
With the basic system of “Shinobido Imashime” as the basis, the game has adjustments to suit the PSP. And one can also download data from PS2’s “Shinobido Imashime” and “Shinobido Takumi”. Now one can bring the missions he/she created along in the PSP.

Single play mode full of highly replayable elements
There are more than 30 use-able game characters! According to the individual character’s characteristics, there are a myriad of ways to play the game. In addition, a RPG-style character development element is also integrated.

Heart-thumping multi play
The PSP’s wireless Ad Hoc mode is used to facilitate the multi play mode. Play cooperatively with or competitively against friends in original maps to experience a “hide-and-seek” truly filled with excitement!
