«©NCSX» Taito gave birth to Darius back in 1986 with a coin-op shoot 'em up that used three television screens to seamlessly portray the expansive scrolling action. It was a really wide screen. Twenty three years later, Taito's owned by Square Enix and they're giving the Darius franchise another go with Darius Burst on the widescreen aspect of the PSP. Darius Burst is a brand new shooter which stays true to the conventions of the series with pick-up power-ups, large end-level bosses, and the familiar stage selection tree. A new ultimate attack dubbed "Burst" is also featured in the game which can be used to confront mega-mighty blasts from bosses. Similar to the previous games in the Darius series, the end-level bosses are inspired by marine life except they have angry eyes, sharp teeth, and shoot up a storm of buckshot. Product Specifications
