Two years after the death of the devil king, the Netherworld became embroiled in chaos, full of devils that had designs on the throne of the devil king. Just woken from a deep slumber, Laharl did not even know of his father’s death, and had to join in the battle for the throne with his numerous subordinates.

Amongst them, there was the angel-in-training Flonne who once had her mind on assassinating the devil king, but was now exploring the devil nature and thus tagged along with Laharl, as well as the servant of the dead king, Etna, who seemed to have her own motives. The struggle to become the rightful successor to the throne started to expand from the Netherworld.

Traditional SRPG
This is a game where the characters are controlled on 3D maps to battle and adventure. Friends and foes take turn to act in battles, and when characters increase in level, he/she can learn powerful killer moves, and can even use powerful combination moves with other party members to attack enemies when certain conditions are met! The game rules are quite simple - satisfy the victory conditions through combat to clear the respective stage. Other than that, one can acquire new characters and new dungeons by raising issues with the Dark Council. On the other hand, contents like the enhancing of items are innovative indeed, and combined with forceful battle scenes and effects, produce an elaborate adventure in a magical world in front of your eyes.

All new added elements
In the PS2 version, with consent from the Dark Council, one can take on six additional dungeons, and this time in the PSP version, there will even be more all new dungeons. In addition, new characters drawn in the series’ depiction style will also make their appearances in the game, and of course the characters’ voiceovers are done by the original crew, with voice-casting of new characters and famous scenes! The newly expanded plotlines are also worth waiting for.

Cute and lively character cast
In this game, another anticipated element is the numerous cute and characteristic character cast. Simple structure and clean lines are the trademarks of Harada Takehito, the character design master. The characters featured include, the megalomaniac Laharl (only son of the devil king); servant Etna; Etna’s subordinate, and the penguins team Prini (slack in their work and full of complaints). Other charming characters like the kind and innocent angel disciple Flonne (actually an assassin?) and the super narcissistic beautiful baron, will all have their parts to play in the strife-filled struggle for the devil king throne.
