Update: January 10, 2007 «©NCSX» Got a gaggle of UMDs lying about your lair with nary a storage slot to slip them into? Why not pony up a measly US$18 for a stand which stores 24 UMDs safely within its confines. In addition to the storage utility of the unit, five blue LEDs light up (three AAA batteries required, not included) for some value-added shiny˛ illumination. The UMD Stand is built from clear and sturdy plastic that allows the blue light to shine visibly from within. A swivel assembly at the base gives the stand the ability to rotate 360˚ if you need to whirl the stand around. At high spin cycles, it's better than a disco ball...
NCS Product Notes » The UMD Stand serves a dual purpose as an extremely bright night light. Since the stand is basically portable because of the batteries used, we're going to use it as a radiant lantern if a blackout ever hits New York City again.» When a UMD is inserted into a slot on the stand, it sticks out a little for easy removal. » The stand measures 10" tall and roughly in 5.50" diameter. It doesn't take up a lot of shelf space and looks pretty when lit up.. » The batteries go into the blue base of the unit. View larger photos for this item on the main NCSX website.
