The XRGB-2 Plus upscan converts video from any source into a digital signal for excellent image quality on any VGA or XGA monitor. New features in the XRGB-2 Plus include:

1) D-Terminal and component compatible RGB 21-pin inputs (CABLES ARE NOT INCLUDED)
2) Remote control unit for source selection, volume, etc
3) Internal stereo amplifier
4) Improved Y/C filter and upscan technology

Please note that Micomsoft did not include PROGRESSIVE SCAN support in the XRGB-2+. Read the short NCS XRGB-2 Plus Upscan FAQ, originally posted on February 08, 2002.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. My screen scrolls when I connect a PS2 to the XRGB-2+ with a Component or D-Terminal Cable.
Go to the PS2 "System Configuration" menu and scroll through the options until you reach "Component Video Out." Change the setting to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr" and your screen will output properly.

2. Should I plug the XRGB-2+ into a surge suppressor 24/7?
Yes. Absolutely. Do it. As with all other sensitive electronic equipment, the XRGB-2+ should be protected from electrical spikes by plugging it into a surge suppressor.

3. The white text on the XRGB menu looks jaggy. Is this normal?
Yes. The original XRGB and XRGB-2 had nice, clean text. Not so for the XRGB-2+ where the text will look shimmery, jaggy, and all that other bad stuff that Micomsoft should have fixed by now. But they haven't, even on the latest manufacturing batch.

4. I have an LCD monitor and the image from the XRGB-2+ looks horrible.
We've received a couple of reports of LCD monitors exhibiting poor contrast and image quality when used with the XRGB-2+. Acer, Microtek, Viewsonic and some Dell monitors appear to have this problem. To reassure yourself that it is indeed the LCD monitor and not the XRGB-2+, please test the XRGB-2+ with a standard CRT monitor.

5. Will the XRGB-2+ work with PAL consoles?
Yes, as long as you're using component RGB or D-Terminal cables with the PS2 and/or GC, the PAL video signal will display perfectly on a VGA monitor through the XRGB-2+'s pipe.
