NCS Product Synopsis Update: February 22, 2005 «©NCSX» Metal Slug 4 came about as the ashes of the original SNK were still simmering and Playmore came on a white horse with a buyout of assets and properties. With the old SNK crew disbanded, Playmore turned to Korean developer Mega Enterprises for a fourth episode in the highly vaunted Metal Slug series. As the story goes, a secretive cabal known as Amadeus seeks to control the world's military computers by way of virus. In order to stop their machinations, a super soldier is summoned to topple their armies and installations. Players choose one of four characters from the ranks consisting of Fio Germi, Marco Rossi, Nadia Cassel, and Trevor Spacey. Only one new weapon appears in MS4 by way of the dual machine gun and new vehicles include the Bradley Tank, Metal Crow Tank, Four Legged Walk Machine, and others. While soldiers such as Eri and Tarma from previous Slugs are no longer playable, they do appear in supporting roles throughout the game. View the back cover and screenshots.
