08-27-10 Project Cerberus - PSP |
Tama-Soft released an adult digital novel called Lost Child in 2004. In the game, players take on the role of a hero named Shouji Tokitoh who has the ability to transform into an "Amito" or superhero known as Cerberus by shouting "Conception!" That and fusing with his catalyst who's a girl named Ai whose presence allows him to change from normal scientist-man to a sleek and powerful killing machine. Lost Child was a unique digital novel in that it featured a turn-based battle system filled with action-packed sequences where Cerberus swung, swooped, slashed, and shot. The game features a cast of 12 characters who appear in their human forms before each bout but transform into their Amito alter-egos once the match starts. Cerberus is a 2D fighting game which looks good and plays well enough...

08-13-10 Shinseiki Evangelion Anima Graphics |
The characters and mechs of the Evangelion animation series have a distinctive appearance. Give credit to illustrator Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita for creating the likes of Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley, EVA-01, and Shamshel, the Fourth Angel. The new Evangelion Anima Visual Book from Dengeki's focuses on the mechs of Evangelion but there's 8 pages dedicated to the characters as well. The pages of the book are smooth and somewhat glossy which helps to convey the vivid color of the photographs and artwork. All preorders have shipped as of yesterday afternoon and new orders are welcome.

08-12-10 Idol Janshi Suchie Pai IV Portable |
Jaleco originally released Suchie Pai IV on the Playstation in 2007 and they're giving the game another chance on the PSP this week. The redhead named Suchie Pai S and her trademark Hissatsu Suchie Stick serves as the hostess for the game where she'll twirl, sparkle, and look fetching as the mahjong action plays out. She's on your side and will do her best to make sure the game goes your way - even going so far as destroying an opponent's winning tile to give the player another chance. De-facto artist of the Suchie Pai series Kenichi Sonoda also returns with a bevy of new illustrations and outfits for the girls to wear. The setting of Suchie-Pai 4 is Akihabara in Tokyo and the mahjong action takes place in seven eateries located around town. There's the posh Cafe Gentry, the casual coffee shop dubbed You & Me, and the utilitarian Hell & Heaven where the MJ-playing girls work and perfect their craft.
