Spooky happenings are afoot in Hudson's new horror game "Calling Kuroki Chakushin" for the Wii which mixes technology with a ghost story. The troubles begin on a black website where visitors are basically cursed once they visit. Sony's Mugen Kairou was released last year on the PSP and the game featured 3D spatial manipulation of levels to create passages and new realities for the onscreen walkers. The sequel to the game titled Jigen Kairou is a 2D platform puzzle game where players hit switches to activate platforms, interact with in-game objects, and manipulate obstacles to gain passage. Takara gets into the USB drive business with the manufacturing help of Toshiba by releasing two special designs that are based on "Jaguar" and "Tigatron" who hail from the Transformers universe. Both cat-based Transformers morph from their mechanical feline forms to compact USB drives which hold 2GB worth of data and are compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7 and Macintosh computers. This item is also known as Transformers Device Label Operating USB Memory and is currently only available from Japan.

Nintendo's celebrating the ninth anniversary of Sin and Punishment (N64) with a sequel on the Wii. The original S&P was a Nintendo 64 game developed by Treasure which was an on-rails shooting action game where the protagonists did their shooting while running on land and flying through the air. The sequel takes place in a dystopian future where Earth has been wrecked and devastated so the heroes have to plan their escape from the ruined planet. Sin and Punishment 2 hews to the same type of game as the original where players control a heroine named Kachi or a hero known as Isa. The heroes flit around the foreground and shoot at installations, enemies, and objects in the background and the mid-ground.

An early shipment of the Playstation 3 and X360 versions of Bayonetta has arrived and we'll be able to process and ship pretty much all preorders today. Please note the X360 version if Bayonetta is currently sold out but restock is expected later this week. The PS3 version is in stock and available to ship today. Customers who pre-ordered Bayonetta with overnight shipping can expect the game to arrive tomorrow. If you're in the Northeastern USA and choose UPS Ground, you should also receive the shipment tomorrow. The original Harvest Moon games were simple to match the simple life of a lone farmer. As the games saw sequel after sequel along with offshoots, things began to get a little complicated. Publisher Marvelous' Rune Factory games introduced new elements to the farming action and a third version of the game reaches market this week.
Grand Trucker Aniki is also in stock which details the life of a trucker who hits the road with cargo in tow.

We were waiting for it. Maybe we've been waiting for the past couple of years but it eluded us in 2007 and 2008. We're all going to hear it this year however. The Beatmania IIDX PS2 swansong sounds off this week and NCS sheds a tear or three for all the Beatmania memories, the sales, and the fun we've had over the past 9 years. Konami released Beatmania IIDX 3rd Mix on the PS2 all the way back in November 2000 and we've studiously imported every IIDX game after that along with a few Konamistyle exclusives. The final game in the series for the PS2 is a 2-DVD spectacular that include over 180 songs such as "Jack" by DesQ, "MY FUTURE" from Ping Pong, "Colorful Cookie" courtesy of Lucky Vacuum, and "naughty girl@Queen's Palace" by DJ Mass MAD Izm. The usual game modes such as "Arcade," "Expert," and "Free" are intact along with a "Tutorial Mode" for novices.

They're up to three volumes of Shooting Game Historica already along with matching SP packaging variants. Yujin branches off the Shooting Historica series with a new collection dubbed SR Video Game Robotics which celebrates five mechs from olden video games such as Capcom's Cyberbots and Sega's RingEDGE-based coin-op called Border Break.
