Goonies! |

| I have a Goonies cartridge that doesn't run on my Game Theory either. When I turn it on, I get a black screen and when I jiggle the cartridge, I see some garbage letters. Why did you get two of them anyway? Its a good game but not that good to have two.
I may have a pirated cartridge tho because on my cartridge, there are no Nintendo licensed lettering and the label looks really cheesy. There is ugly artwok that doesn't even say Goonies on it. I am able to play the cartridge on my Famicom clone machine that I got from a company in Taiwan tho. Goonies is a good game even though the only attacks are kicking, bombs and the slingshot attack. The Cindy Lauper song is good too - like a SID song from the Commodore 64.

| I have played Goonies and Goonies 2 on my GTA but I have one of those 128-in-1 cartridges from Hong Kong. Too bad there are really only about 12 games since the games are all repeated about 10 times. For Goonies 2, the actual name is Goonies 2 Fratelli Saigo no Chousen but there's like 12 names like this with small differences. Do I feel cheated? No since it is a neat cartridge to have anyway, but its kind of lame to call it a 128-in-1 cartridge when it should be a 12-in-1. Just putting in some feedback to the guy who couldn't get Goonies working. |

Totally useless to me |

| I only have 3 Famicom games, but I bought it primarily to play one single cartridge that I searched high and low for years - The Goonies. Well, it's the ONE game that this thing doesn't seem to play - glitches out and freezes past the title screen (my other cartridges are fine, and I've tried two different copies of The Goonies with the same results on both carts). If anybody can tell me how to get this ONE CARTRIDGE working, email me - savasca@vcu.edu |

| Maybe Im stupid but this thing plays old Nintnedo games? Why would I want to play that when I have Dreamcast and Gamecube? I had a old Nintendo with the Gyromite robot from when I was in elementary school but I don't have any plan to play that anymore. I remember playing Ninja Gaiden and Mario games but those graphics were ugly. I think this is a waste of time and money but that is just me and my opinion. I hope they put this review up since that is my honest feeling! |

Better than I expected |

| I have a collection of so called grey market peripherals from Hong Kong and I collect Famicom compatible units. I have an old Famicom clone with an electrical adapter with three prongs and that worked good but it was a big and bulky product. I bought the Game Axe when it was first released but didnt think it was too great. NCS mentions some of the problems but my Game Axe overheated too and started glitching when it got hot after about 90 minutes.
I never heard of Mystery and I had my doubts about the Game Theory because it is from a no name company. I got one from NCS last week and I like it a lot. The screen is bright and clearer than the Game Axe. There is no screen blur when playing fast moving games like shooting games because there is a TFT screen on this baby. The only bad thing is the American NES cartridge incompatibility but hopefully an adapter will be out soon. I mostly use the Game Theory to play on my TV and it is a super portable Famicom unit. I didn't notice it getting too hot but then again I'm only using batteries. Thumbs up from me. |
